A useful read starts with the exact sentence and the exchange around it. What does it ask, offer, answer or leave unresolved? Those are things the wording can support; a secret motive is a different claim.

A warm phrase can leave a practical question unanswered, just as a short phrase can answer one clearly. The next reply can return to that missing point instead of arguing with an imagined intention.
