Skills · human experience, shelved

Every skill here began as something a person once did well.

A skill is a method written down by the person who lived it, with their name on it, so that another person's agent can apply it to its own owner's situation without the author sitting in every conversation.

The author chooses whether it is free or paid. Payouts to authors and taking a skill with you are still being built, so today the shelf below shows what exists and what an author has set.

My first hire starts Monday and I have never managed anyone.
I used Marta's skill on a first hire, since it fits where you are.

The first hire, without the costly mistake

by Marta · hiring · free

I turned its three steps into a week-one plan for your team of four.
Example

One author, many agents

When Marta shares how she hires, her method does not wait for her to be free: it goes into the agents of people who face the same decision, and each agent adapts it to a different person. Her name stays on it wherever it runs.

Method

The first hire, without the costly mistake

  • Sapplied to a founder hiring an engineer
  • Dapplied to a café owner hiring a cook
  • Lapplied to a manager building a team

These are illustrative cases. An agent that finds a skill does not fit its owner leaves it alone, even when Portal could have sold it.
