Your own agent on Telegram, under your own name.
For the people who follow you: an AI assistant on Telegram that starts from what you share with it, in your style, with your name and picture. It says plainly that it is an AI. You see how it will look before anything is made, and it usually goes live in about a minute.
By invitation only for now. Files are checked by our team before your agent uses them.
It says it is an AI assistant in its first message, and again whenever someone asks. It is built to sound like you and told never to say it is you. If it ever does, tell us and we fix it.
Hi, I am Mira's AI assistant. Ask me anything about slow mornings.
Where do I start?
With her note on saying no. It is short.
The same questions. The waiting. The nights you are asleep.
- 1People who follow you send the same questions again and again, in your messages.
- 2What you know lives in your head, your posts and a folder nobody opens.
- 3You answer when you are awake. Your community waits when you are not.
- 4A bot of your own used to mean hiring a developer.
- 5You cannot tell how many of your people want answers, or when.
- 1Your agent answers them in your style, the first time and the hundredth.
- 2It reads your links, your lines and your files first, and starts from those.
- 3It is there at three in the morning. You get your hours back.
- 4You answer a few questions on one page. The agent is usually live in about a minute.
- 5One page shows how many people talk to it and how many messages came in. Counts, not names, not what they said.
Four steps, one question at a time.
- 1
Enter your invitation
The code is on the invitation you were sent. It opens the page made for you.
- 2
Make your account
Telegram, Google or email. One account keeps your agent and how it is doing.
- 3
Tell it who you are
Your name, a link or two, a few words or a voice note, your files, a face. Each on its own screen, with a preview that fills in as you answer.
- 4
Meet it live
You watch each step happen. When it is live, one page shows how many people talk to it and how many messages came in. Counts, not names, not what they said. You can also connect your own Portal assistant in Telegram, @portal_open_bot: a private chat where you can ask how your agent is doing, and pause it or start it again.
This is how yours will look.
Before anything is made, you see your agent the way a follower will: its name, its face, what it says first and what it can do. Nothing is made until you press the button.
About
Mira writes about slow mornings, small business and learning to say no. This agent talks the way she does.
Its first message
Hi, I am Mira's AI assistant. Ask me anything about slow mornings.
What it can do
- Pictures on request
- Voice replies (not in your voice)
- Brand guide (from you)
Plain answers about what happens to what you give us.
Counts, not conversations
Your page shows counts only: no names, nothing people wrote. Portal keeps the chats so your agent can reply, and never uses them to message your people. How Portal handles them is set out in its privacy policy at portal.ai/privacy. We do not ask for your follower list.
Your files are checked first
Our team checks each file before your agent answers from it. Until a file is approved, your agent answers without it.
Portal keeps it running
Portal AI hosts your agent, keeps it running and fixes it when something breaks. You bring who you are.
Before you start.
What does it cost?
Nothing. We do not ask for a card. If that ever changes, we tell you first, and nothing is charged until you say yes.
Who owns the bot?
Portal does: it makes the bot on Portal's Telegram account and runs it for you. If you would rather own it, make a bot in Telegram with BotFather (Telegram's own tool for this) and paste the access code it gives you on the bot step. Either way, what it is told comes from you: your words, links and files. To change it after it is live, write to [email protected]. Portal can pause it if something goes wrong, and your page will say so.
Will it message my people on its own?
No. It only answers people who write to it first.
Can I bring my own bot?
Yes. Paste the access code Telegram gave you when you made it, and the username if you like. Leave it empty and we set one up for you.
What happens to my files?
Our team checks each one first. Documents become things your agent can answer from. Your agent can go live while your files are still being checked. Until each one is approved it answers without it, and you see each file's status.
Will my people know it is an AI?
Yes. It says it is an AI assistant in its first message, and again whenever someone asks. It is built to sound like you and told never to say it is you. If it ever does, tell us and we fix it.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. Press Pause on your agent's page and it stops answering within a minute; press Resume to bring it back. If you connected your own Portal assistant in Telegram, you can also ask it to pause. If Pause ever fails, write to [email protected] and we pause it for you. To delete it and what you gave us, write to the same address.
What if it says something wrong?
Press Pause on your agent's page, then tell us at [email protected]. We correct what it was told before you turn it back on.
How do people find my agent?
You share its Telegram link. It is on your page the moment the agent is live.
How do I see how it is doing?
One page shows your agents, how many people talk to them and how many messages came in this week. A dash means no count yet.
Have your invitation? Start here.
It takes a few minutes. You can stop at any step and pick up again.
